North Macedonia has significantly increased its Zero Trust adoption, with 65% of organizations now implementing this security model by 2026. This shift reflects growing awareness of cyber threats and the need for advanced security frameworks, especially in finance and government sectors. The cybersecurity budget has also risen to €45 million, enabling better infrastructure and threat detection capabilities across various industries.
Despite these efforts, data breaches remain a concern, with 150 incidents reported this year. However, organizations are improving their detection times, averaging 4.5 hours to identify breaches. A notable 38% of businesses now carry cybersecurity insurance, demonstrating a commitment to risk management. Continued investments and awareness are vital for strengthening North Macedonia's digital security landscape.
