By 2026, Mongolia has achieved a significant increase in internet penetration, reaching 76%, driven by expanding mobile networks and government initiatives to enhance digital access. The affordability of internet services, averaging USD 12 monthly, has made connectivity accessible to a broader segment of the population, boosting usage rates and digital participation across urban and rural areas.
The number of mobile internet users has grown to over 2.3 million, indicating widespread reliance on mobile devices for online activities. Although broadband subscription rates are still developing at 39%, digital literacy remains vital, with 68% of Mongolians demonstrating proficiency in digital skills, supporting further digital economy growth and e-governance efforts.
