Cambodia's cybersecurity workforce remains insufficient for its rapidly digitizing economy, with only about 2,150 professionals in 2026. Despite increasing investments of USD 25 million annually, the gap persists due to limited local training programs and a high vacancy rate of 18%. This shortage hampers the country's ability to effectively combat rising cyber threats and secure critical infrastructure.
Efforts to bridge the workforce gap include 12 active cybersecurity training programs, aiming to develop local talent. However, the monthly report of 320 cyberattacks indicates that Cambodia still faces significant vulnerabilities. Strengthening workforce capacity and expanding training initiatives are crucial for enhancing national cybersecurity resilience in 2026.
